
RUSSELLVILLE — The Russellville Indians got the go-ahead layup with 1:03 left, rallying past Bunceton/Prairie Home for a season-opening 63-61 victory Monday.
The Indians added a free throw with :13.6 left, then got a deflection into the back court with about :04 remaining to seal the win.
Bunceton/Prairie Home led 23-14 after one quarter and 35-30 at halftime. Russellville took the lead at 48-47 entering the fourth quarter.
Justin Seaver and Ethan Hickey each scored 14 points to lead the Indians.
Russellville (1-0) is the No. 6 seed in next week’s Eugene Tournament. The Indians open pool play against second-seeded Southern Boone at 6:30 p.m. next Tuesday.
