Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPS table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

GENERAL MEDRANO has jumped well in winning his two handicaps over fences (2m), both small-field affairs on good to soft; has a collective rise of 16lb to overcome and he’s tackling classier opposition now, but looks very progressive.

Irish challenger LAW ELLA impressed on last month’s chase debut at Thurles and can make it 2-2 over fences. Lady Adare was runner-up against males in a Grade 2 at Wincanton recently and is feared most, ahead of the interesting chasing newcomer Endless Escape. Nurse Susan enjoyed a fine novice hurdle campaign in 2021-22 and is an intriguing runner on this first start since.

NOTRE BELLE BETE was beaten in 1m2f Listed events on turf when last seen in midsummer; returning to all weather (4-8, including same course and distance, as opposed to 0-16 on turf) a big plus and he can go well after a break; one to take seriously with Oisin Murphy back in the saddle, for all the cheekpieces (worn on last seven starts) are now dispensed with.

Carzola could revive back on all weather, while Andaleep and Perseus Way are well handicapped and can be involved if their stamina holds out. Mostly Sunny and C’Mon Kenny (second choice) are high on the list but DUKE OF OXFORD could step up now his stamina is more fully tested and he gets the vote in a competitive race.
