
Williamston, N.C. — According to a report by Brian North of WCTI, longtime Eastern North Carolina football coach Brian Paschal is retiring. Most recently, Paschal was the head coach at Riverside High School of Martin County. Previously, Paschal was the head coach at Washington, Roanoke High of Martin County, D.H. Conley High of Greenville, and Bear Grass Charter.
Over the 2021 and 2022 seasons, Paschal’s Riverside Knights had a record of 17-6 overall. Last season, the Knights went 11-2 overall and made it to the third round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 1A state playoffs. There, the Knights fell to Tarboro despite a strong start to the game.
Paschal coached down the road at Bear Grass Charter from 2017-2019. The Bears were 14-16 over those seasons.
While the coach at Conley from 2010-2014, Paschal led the Vikings to a 34-18 overall record.
